Back to The Ballet

What is it about ballerina pumps and why do we keep coming back to them?

These dainty, slipper like flats became infinitely popular when they appeared on screen in 1957 worn by the famous actress Audrey Hepburn in the movie Funny Face. Inevitably they made a comeback in the early 00’s where we saw model Kate Moss and actress Sienna Miller turn these once formal shoes into an everyday wardrobe staple. The ballet pump, now known as the comfort shoe, has returned once again but to an era where sustainable and timeless fashion is more important than ever. There is no doubt trends will come and go but we’re convinced that ballerinas are not just a trend rather a forever shoe you keep coming back to.

Footwear is essential for everyday and as summer approaches we start to rethink how we’re going to dress each morning and most importantly what shoes are going to replace those winter boots we’ve got away with wearing up until now. Well, our new Ballerina Pumps “Audrey” couldn’t be more suited.

Designed and handcrafted in Portugal using the softest leather, our iconic shoe style with a round toe-cap and bow, comes in three different colours including black, nude and pink. Easy to wear without the worry of pain and pedicures.
